PARADOXES OF OUR TIME AND THE BENEFITS THEY BRING

The writer, philosopher and Nobel laureate Albert Camus could hardly have imagined that his words, written back in 1947, would be so relevant today, in a situation that is putting all of humanity to the test. It sounds paradoxical, but it is a fact that a microscopic particle, incapable of reproducing on its own, has closed state borders, isolated cities and forced us to stay in our homes. Attacking its victims regardless of social status, financial position, political affiliation or other characteristics, this particle has placed a kind of equals sign between people and forced us to rearrange the system of values that generates each of our behaviour. Paradoxically, isolation has brought us closer together. Keeping our distance has made us understand how precious human closeness is, how dear direct communication, the warmth of an embrace and the friendly gesture of a handshake are to us. It has made us turn to spirituality more often. And, almost as in Albrecht Dürer's great engraving "Hands", it has brought us to the understanding that dry, roughened, sore and reddened fingers (now, because of alcohol disinfection) are a negligibly small problem in the effort to preserve human life.
And so we inflict minor harm on ourselves in order to save ourselves from a serious disease. Despite the unprecedented situation, it is sensible to take advantage of the relief available to us. One of these is called
"Dermo-Care"
It is a spray foam with no added substances and no silicone. With the help of "Dermo-Care", skin rashes that arise after intensive use of alcohol and other disinfectants subside. The product does not cause allergic reactions or inflammatory changes. It has an antiseptic effect and leads to rapid skin recovery. The skin's recovery after intensive use of alcohol-based disinfectants is also aided by the panthenol contained in "Dermo-Care" (vitamin B5, which takes part in the metabolic processes of skin repair) and the compound 1,2,3-propanetriol (so-called glycerine, which is perfectly absorbed by the skin and has a mild anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial action).
The product's properties have been clinically confirmed
at the Third Surgical Clinic of the "N. I. Pirogov" University Hospital for Emergency Medicine by the team of Prof. Sheri Tadzher, DSc, and at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology of the Medical University of Sofia by the team of Prof. Nikolay Tsankov, DSc.
Prof. Tadzher's study deliberately included the most severe wound infections in patients with different immune status from all age groups. The following advantages of "Dermo-Care" were established:
- It accelerates the formation of granulation tissue and leads to faster overall tissue recovery;
- It improves the process by which oxygen, nutrients and micronutrients are delivered to skin cells via the arterial blood;
- It dries out purulent wounds;
- It does not allow the infection to be fed;
- It reduces odour from the wound;
- It does not cause allergic reactions or inflammatory rashes;
- It is effective both for minor irritations and for injuries resulting from bed rest and impaired blood supply to the skin, including pressure ulcers;
The final conclusion is that the product exhibits a high antiseptic effect, regardless of people's age and immunological status.
According to the team of dermatologists led by Prof. Tsankov, "Dermo-Care" has no side effects whatsoever, is easy to apply, penetrates the skin quickly and is very economical. It is suitable for:
- long-term use;
- daily care for irritations and abrasions;
- restoring inflamed skin.
The product is recommended as an aid both for small wounds and for severe ulcers and blisters on the skin. The conclusion is that "Dermo-Care" is an effective product for daily use in inflammatory and infectious dermatoses.
